  • STOP,BE AWARE,WORTHLESS.

We were invited to a 90 minutes presentation because we were told we won 4 free airline tickets. It turned out to be a vacation company that sells you a lifetime vacation membership for 23K. After negotiation they dropped their price to 6k in less than 20 minutes. I assure you if we didn't agree to it, it would've dropped lower. We asked several team members for numerous times if the contract is cancelable and refundable, they confirmed and assured us "DURING ANYTIME AFTER WE MAKE THE PURCHASE IF WE ARE NOT HAPPY, WE WOULD GET OUR %100 MONEY BACK GUARANTEE WITHOUT ANY... • Fraud/Breach of Contract

Global Discovery Vacations has treated us like stereotypical red headed step children. They welcome you into a 'family' and the disappear when you need something. Global breached its contract with us and will not allow us to cancel. I am assuming from the unprofessional behavior of the so called manager named, Kathleen, that Global wishes to be sued for Fraud and Breach of Contract. I wish to handle this matter amicably and professionaly and I hope that you give me the chance to do so. If Global Discovery Vacations cannot accomodate my request to cancel a $2900 contract, I will... More...

  • Global Discovery Vacations Fraud

Bottom Line: We were lied to. We were promissed resorts in the Florida Keys and Key West. We were shown properties on the computer by a Global sales representative that were in the Florida Keys. More than one Global representative said that we would have no problem traveling to the Keys through Global. When I called to book my first vacation in the Keys, I was informed by a travel agent that there are no resorts in the Florida Keys and that Global hasn's had properties there in years. I was floored. Then I was offered a hotel in south Miami which was the closest Global had to the... More...

  • Global Discovery is the best vacation investment I have ever made - by far

This is my second review, now that I have been a member for almost three years. My advice is look carefully at the other reviews. I agree with most that the pitch can be high pressure. I agree that you should ignore the buying service, the cruises, and the travel agency, because you can do better than that on the internet rather easily. FOCUS on the condos, because they represent the best travel deal out there today, if you are in a position to take advantage of them. In 2013, I spent a week in South Padre, a week in Playa del Carmen, a week in the Caymans, a week in Paris, a week in... More...

  • Presentation - Very High Pressure Presentation

December 2013 - My husband and I went to a GDV presentation last night in Lombard, IL which is in the Chicago suburban area. We were informed the presentation would last no longer than 90 minutes, however, after the initial presentation you are moved to an area with a travel agent that continues to pressure you into signing on to their program. We informed the travel agent that we were not interested and were told that the manager needs to sign off so we can get our airline voucher. After another 15 minutes of waiting the manager came to our table with a hard sell, even reducing the... More...

  • Very Happy!

We purchased our membership over 5 years ago and we are very satisfied. We've been to Kauai, Kona and Banf in Canada and have been very happy with the condos as well as the service we received. I found that it is possible to find the accomodations you want if you prepare far enough in advance and research the locations. I have nothing negative to say and I think it is a great way to travel without spending a lot of money on hotels. More...

  • BIG Scam and many Lies?

They Stated they are Rated By the BBB as AAA I can't find them rated at all in my State Indiana nor in their Corporation State of KS, the sales team with in Indianapolis stated that they could get our first choice 90-95% of the time good luck never happens. Free Gift for coming to the presentation cost money not free at all, booking agents rude as they can be for a consumer business. Not worth the money, given a second chance would not invest a cent with them, not even my time. More...

  • NOT South Padre Island!

We have been members with Global for a few years and have found their condo's rate from A+ (once) to D- (once). We are now staying in South Padre Island in Galleon Bay Resort and we have been very unhappy. There were no hangers when we arrived or hair dryer. The beds are ancient and the couch is terrible. You sink way down and toward the back when you try to sit on it. My husband brought in furniture off the deck to sit on. The bathtub doesn't drain, so while showering you are standing in water (not nice). When I called Global's Customer Services, I reached someone... More...

  • Wary

Attended the presentation with my spouse. Prior to attending, we had no idea what the sales presentation was about. After getting all the facts on what the company had to offer, we considered that a membership might possibly benefit us in the long run. For couples who love to travel, if the company delivers everything they promise in the sales pitch, then it might possibly be worth the investment. We struggled with the decision and finally decided to go for it. When we got home, went online to find out anything more we could about this company. We spent hours on the internet, reading... • Not as good as it sounded

I have beeen a member of Global Discovery Vacations for over one year. The sales presentation sounded very good so I purchased 2 stars, which amounts to 2 weeks vacation. I was offered a free cruise as an incentive. The company who provides the cruise never produced the cruise, even though I live within 50 miles of 3 of the busiest cruise ports in Florida. This made me pretty upset and I felt like they ripped me off, which they did, as I had to pay a fee to register to get the free cruise. Next I tried to set up my first week vacation. It is time consuming trying to figure out how to... More...

  • Global Discovery Vacations Global Connections A+ Rating from the BBB

I recently found this company online and saw some bad customer reviews, saying it was a scam. I did my research only to find that most of the stuff I read had nothing to do with the Global Connections services, but rather marketing companies that use crappy gifts to lure customers to promos. I have since used the Global service myself to book some trips, and have found it to be very user-friendly, and now am very excited to share my experience with others. Please know that Global is a good standing business, with an A+ BBB rating, which I found to be very impressive. I think it is a great... More...

  • MISREPRESENTERS

We went to a presentation for the incentives and liked the concept, but we didn't buy. I like to investigate on my own first. Sure glad I waited. The incentives we were supposed to get were not as represented. If they lie about the small stuff, what do you think will happen after they get your money. Don't get into bed with these guys unless you like getting screwed. More...
